If you have pads, wear them!! I decided it was too hot on the climb so they were strapped to my pack when i skidded out on an unexpectedly fast DH section less than a quarter of the way up, hence hurty knee and elbow!!

If you look carefully you can just see Russ and Mark leaping onto their bikes after WALKING up the gentle slope, and Nick got back on just before i leaped into view with camera ready :)
